SOIL TESTING

Soil samples can be tested for texture, organic matter, pH, nitrate and ammonium nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and other elements. If necessary, tests for salts, micronutrients, and contaminants can also be performed.

Soil testing laboratories in Connecticut are located at Agricultural Experiment Stations in New Haven and Windsor. There is no fee for State of Connecticut residents.
