FAMILY SUPPORT GRANT

The Conn. State Dept. of Social Services and Dept. of Mental Retardation grant subsidies to help defray the extraordinary expenses of parents or other eligible family members who are caring for a dependent child ages 0 through 17 with a disability. Families with children who have mental retardation apply to Dept. of Mental Retardation; families with children with other disabilities apply to the Dept. of Social Services. This program has income restrictions.

This program is not an entitlement program; there is a waiting list.
