COMPUTER DONATION PROGRAMS

People who would like to donate computer equipment and receive a tax deduction can give their computers to nonprofit organizations that accept computer donations. In most cases, donated computers are refurbished or rehabilitated and then given to community agencies or individuals who cannot afford to buy them. The organization that accepts donations may have specific requirements for the donated computers to serve the needs of their program participants (clients, students, patients, etc.) These needs may range from "good working order" to "word processing program installed" to "Pentium CPU" to "CD-ROM compatible".
